Sprouts Opening Date in Daytona: A Contradiction

Recently, I was granted access inside the Sprouts Farmers Market that is gearing to open at the Shoppes at Williamson Crossing in Daytona Beach. Signage is up, and there is still some painting going on.

A person who works for Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. and has been involved in the opening of many locations throughout the USA stated that in about three weeks, corporate personnel will begin arriving, stocking the store will begin, placing the store opening "about six weeks out," they said—then added that it could be eight weeks.

For the sake of discussion, let's say that it is eight weeks. That timeline indicates a late January 2026 opening. Contradicting recent reports that have surfaced stating a late February opening.

Though my information comes from someone with knowledge of how Sprouts operates, in regards to opening a store, please keep in mind the timeframe is speculative. It should be combined with the other reports that have it in late February.

It is also instructive to note that the reason given for Trader Joe's twice-changed grand opening date in Daytona Beach was hiccups in the process, as described by a Trader Joe's employee. Sprouts may run into hiccups as well.

I have contacted Sprouts for clarification on when they will open in Daytona Beach.

Meanwhile, the work inside continues. There is a training and stocking permit affixed to the front door. Such a permit allows Sprouts to begin stocking shelves and training employees, even though a certificate of occupancy has yet to be issued.

You can check Sprouts' social media for more information on the opening, but be forewarned. "What they do," the employees said. "Is they start posting on social media ahead of time and making it look like they're open (even though they are not). They start to get some stir."
